By this time 28 January 2016

Posted by Dr Moose in Life, Poetry.

By this time,
The sky’s alight, joyous.
Car’s gone, wife-driven,
Youngest beside.
By this time,
I twice-caffeinated,
Sit alone,
Reluctant daughter despatched,
Trudging resolute to daily
Fate. And I, two hours
Past waking, wonder
Where enthusiasm’s hidden
This time.
