I have plenty to say, but that doesn’t mean I have. Nevertheless, in the interim, here’s another of David’s poems.

*The Underground Church*

There were walls
and terrors
and tortures
in those awful, godless years.

But love leapt underneath
and grace undermined
what had not eternal foundations.

Grasping hands closed empty;
empty hands grasped spirit
and in death willingly embraced
was life restored.
