Being another of David Grieve’s wonderful poems.

The hardened, the petrified heart
God freely, God threely
fleshes into life
as fire falls on bowed heads
in Jerusalem, AD 33

and hands down the kindled flame
through all the God-not-forsaken centuries,
love conquering all.
