"Whiling" away time on Easter Sunday 16 April 2006

Easter Day 2006
*In a While*

It takes a while for the eyes to adjust
to the brightness of Resurrection,
for the mind and the leaping heart
to process what cannot be so but is so.

It takes a while to realise that
our cheering, our applause, our joy
is not for the /status quo ante/ being restored.

It takes a while to grasp that we cannot
contain him, limit him, pin him down
or keep him from trailblazing
on the far side of the dark glass.

In a while, at Kingdom come,
provisionality will fly into fullness.

Thank you for posting this…wonderful.
Wish I’d read it in time to include it in Easter ramblings from the pulpit, but another year…
